A collection of miniature experiments, exploring evolution through mutation and finding beauty in the acceptance of variation.
But really, it's like a curated chaos of my various inspiration obsessions. There's monochrome grids and sprinkles, the primary colours and geometry of Memphis design (especially Ettore Sottsass, and his 'Tahiti' light), Camille Walala's striking 'Dream Come True' building for Splice (which I walk past on my way to the studio) and Ed Cheverton's playful collage compositions (which I discovered through his lovely Postcard Club project).
Differences are highlighted by colour and glaze: only a varying handle, spout or leg turns otherwise identical pots into individuals. Because in my eyes, it's the tiny jugs and ugly mugs that hold our gaze.
